My first-ever advertising account job consisted of a global print campaign that targeted creatives in North America and Europe. Ads appeared in Creativity, Communication Arts, and several other key publications throughout England, Germany, and France.
In addition to working with the client, I was also responsible for negotiating the media buy, and project & production management.
Results:
In 8 months, unique visits to the Corbis web site increased 82% and new accounts doubled.
Negotiations with the 22+ global publications created a media savings of $400,000 annualized.
Below is the ad that started it all - to get our target audience to establish the habit of beginning their image searches with Corbis. We also wanted to introduce a friendlier, more gregarious brand personality. To meet both objectives, we combined a simple headline with an image that demanded attention and introduced the tagline "Start Here."
